Photo Project Day 5
Since it was such a beautiful day today, I wanted to look for my daily photo challenge subject at my neighborhood lake. It was so beautiful out there… a true bird lovers paradise! There were so many water fowl soaking up the sunshine and taking in the awesome California weather we’ve been having. I certainly snapped more than what my challenge requires, but in looking them over, I chose this as my favorite. I love how the white egret is just taking off, showing the spread of his wings. You can see his body nicely profiled and can anticipate his movement. I also love the neutral tones of the surrounding grasses behind the edge of the water and as well as the reflections, providing such contrast to our star egret and to the numerous white birds in the distance.
