Photo Project Day 30
The Star Magnolia is one of my favorite trees for their beautiful winter blooms. They display these delicate flowers before the leaves form and showcase beautiful a combination of white to dark pink flowers. This flower in particular wasn’t fully open when I selected it for my shot, so I had to carefully pry back the petals to get my lens in close. It was late afternoon with a lot of cloud coverage overhead, so there was a lot of shadow in the center. The video light helped bring those up a bit without over-exposing the whites in the petals.
