Hi! I'm Shelby, nice to meet you!

I’m a Designer and Art Director based in beautiful Santa Rosa, California.

With a passion for great design, I find inspiration in everything I see. I love to infuse color, textures, imagery and typography into each project I do. I also enjoy working directly with my clients, offering my professional expertise with a personal touch. Above all, I love the creative challenge to create a unique product that will leave a positive, lasting impression.

In 1997, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Design with an emphasis in Graphic Design from California State University, Chico. From there, I pursued a career in graphic design working for JQ Publishing, where I was Art Director for the magazine and all collateral projects. In 2004, I launched my own creative studio to specialize in print design, collateral + marketing, and brand development. My focus since that time has been on building long-term partnerships with clients by providing unique insights and quality design.

Having a career where I am able to do what I love is incredibly rewarding. I'm drawn to even the smallest of details, which is likely an extension of my love for macro photography. My design is also known for it's sophisticated aesthetic. With each project, I carefully consider the objective and how to effectively and creatively meet that goal. My aim for perfection ensures that each project is done well and my drive and determination allows for each project to be met with the highest standards.

My interest in design and photography began at an early age. My bedroom was wall-papered with pages from various fashion magazines, including the iconic Esprit catalog. I was also always seen toting my camera around so I wouldn’t miss the perfect shot. I recall spending countless hours gazing at the stunning photographs in each issue of my parent’s National Geographic Magazines. Inspired, I have always been drawn to landscape and nature photography. When I'm not designing, I love spending time outdoors seeking new places to capture landscapes from a unique perspective, or taking photos of beautiful blooming flowers that my husband and I grow.

If you’re interested in working together or just want to say hello, I’d love to hear from you.
